1. Safety is of prime
importance. Keep all loaded guns pointed in a safe direction (between the houses).
2. Hearing and eye
protection is mandatory.
3. Do not load your gun
until on the shooting pad. Never load more than two (2) shells unless
authorized by the range officer. When not on the shooting pad, keep the bolt
open on an automatic or pump, break openan over/under
or side by side.
4. The maximum load allowed
is three (3) dram equivalent. The maximum shot size allowed is # 7 ˝ on the
trap fields. Maximum shot size on skeet fields is #8. 1
5. Clay targets are the
only things to be shot at except the patterning board located near field #1. No
live birds, animals, or other objects will be used as a target.
6. The use of firearms by
anyone under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances is prohibited.
Failure to conform can subject the offender to suspension or expulsion from the
club.
7. Members are responsible
for their children and guests and must supervise them at all times. Members
will be held responsible for their own conduct and the conduct of their guests
while on the field.
8. Shooters and guests must
register on the sign-in sheet in the clubhouse. Shooters must pay for all
rounds (25 targets) of skeet or trap shot and will be responsible to see that
their guests pay the appropriate guest fee.
9. Shooters that do not
know how to load the machines must seek instruction from the range officer.
Shooters should be aware that the machines can hurt the person loading them and
can also be damaged by improper operation. BE SAFE FIRST
10. Help keep the range
clean. Pick up all hulls when finished shooting so the mowers do not run over
them. Place all trash in the barrels provided. Neatly stack all empty target boxes together and leave them in the houses. The range
officer will handle their disposal.
11. A calendar is posted on
the bulletin board and website showing the dates
of the monthly club shoots.

Skeet Safety
Everyone must sign
in - NO EXCEPTIONS
1. Eye and ear protection is mandatory
2. Always keep the action open and the muzzle pointed in a safe direction.
3. Never load until you are on your position and ready to call for your target
4. Load no more than two shells in your gun at any time.
5. Keep your gun pointed in a safe direction when on shooting station.
6. Unload your gun and open action before leaving or moving between
shooting stations.
7. When shooting station 8 ALL members of the squad will shoot high 8 before
shooting low 8.
8. Unload and move back away from the station if a house must be entered.
9. No shot larger than #8. # 9 shot preferred. No steel shot.

Handgun Safety
Everyone must sign in - NO EXCEPTIONS
1. Eye and ear protection is
mandatory
2. All weapons will remain holstered/secured while not
on the line
3. Keep action open and firearm unloaded until ready to shoot.
4. Keep finger out of trigger guard until ready to shoot.
5. Do not place targets on ground.
6. No fully automatic weapons.
7. No rapid fire
8. No armor piercing, tracer, or explosive ammunition.
9. No rifle ammo used on bullet traps, use target frames for rifle.
10. During cease fire, open the action, secure the weapon, and step away from
the line.
Rifle Safety
Everyone must sign in - NO EXCEPTIONS
1. Eye and ear protection is mandatory
2. All guns will remain unloaded until on the firing line.
3. Bolts should be removed and auto’s blocked open when handling, transporting,
or when a cease fire is called.
4. Always display flags & lights before moving down range
5. It is the responsibility of each person on the Range to insure that all guns
are handled in a safe manner.
6. During practice, and when no Match is in progress the first shooter at the
Range is in charge of Cease Fires, Flags up, Lights On, and Target Change
intervals.
7. Report any Safety issues to the Range Manager on Duty. Cease all shooting
until the issue is resolved to everyone’s satisfaction.Back to top.
